Amy was found as a puppy on the grounds of a refinery after an explosion and fire in Puerto Rico. She was adopted and brought to Philadelphia, but her trauma followed her and left her afraid of all things unfamiliar. She was afraid of people who came to the house and afraid of leaving her house or enclosed back yard for the next 3 years. She was always on guard.
Just look at her now! She is still a bit shy, but will greet people who come to the house and now gets excited about going for group walks in the woods. She has learned to relax and is now playful, affectionate and absolutely loves to learn new things.
Way to go, Amy!
